Fariana Pao Paucar Franco, born on September 16, 1986, in Medellín, Colombia, is a trailblazing singer, rapper, and songwriter who has made significant contributions to the urban music scene. She stands out as one of the first Colombian women to successfully produce reggaeton and urban music, breaking barriers in a genre traditionally dominated by men.

Raised in a musically rich family, Fariana was exposed to a variety of cultural influences, from Caribbean and Arabic to Chinese and Andean sounds. These diverse musical elements have shaped her distinct style. She gained widespread recognition in 2005 when she secured third place on “El Factor X,” a popular Colombian talent competition similar to “The X Factor.” That same year, she made her radio debut with the song “Solo con Palabras,” a collaboration with Julio César Meza.

Throughout her career, Fariana has released several successful albums, including “Yo Soy Farina” in 2006 and “Del Odio Al Amor” in 2012. In 2024, she launched her third album, Underwater, which quickly rose to the top of Colombia’s iTunes charts. The album features high-profile collaborations with international artists such as Sean Paul, Flo Rida, and Snow Tha Product.

Beyond music, Fariana has also ventured into acting, starring in the 2011 TV series Tres Milagros.
