Fabolous got his start in hip-hop during high school, gaining recognition after freestyling on DJ Clue’s Hot 97 radio show. This appearance led to a deal with Clue’s Desert Storm Records, where he began making a name for himself through mixtapes and collaborations with established artists.

In 2001, he released his debut album, Ghetto Fabolous, which featured hits like “Can’t Deny It” and “Young’n (Holla Back),” earning him a spot in the rap spotlight.
