Fabolous

John David Jackson, better known as Fabolous, is an American rapper known for his smooth delivery, sharp wordplay, and ability to blend street narratives with mainstream appeal. Born on November 18, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York, he grew up in the Breevort Houses of Bedford-Stuyvesant, an environment that would later shape much of his music.

Fabolous got his start in hip-hop during high school, gaining recognition after freestyling on DJ Clue’s Hot 97 radio show. This appearance led to a deal with Clue’s Desert Storm Records, where he began making a name for himself through mixtapes and collaborations with established artists.

In 2001, he released his debut album, Ghetto Fabolous, which featured hits like “Can’t Deny It” and “Young’n (Holla Back),” earning him a spot in the rap spotlight. His sophomore album, Street Dreams (2003), solidified his presence with chart-toppers such as “Into You” and “Can’t Let You Go.” Over the years, he continued dropping successful projects, including Real Talk (2004), From Nothin’ to Somethin’ (2007), Loso’s Way (2009), and The Young OG Project (2014).

Beyond his solo work, Fabolous has been a staple in hip-hop and R&B collaborations, working with artists like Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, and Rihanna.
