Ego Nwodim

Ego Nwodim, born on March 10, 1988, in Baltimore, Maryland, is a talented Nigerian-American actress and comedian renowned for her quick wit and engaging performances. Raised in White Marsh, Maryland, she pursued a degree in biology at the University of Southern California. However, her true passion for comedy led her to study improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles, which became a crucial stepping stone in her entertainment career.

In 2018, Nwodim became a featured player on NBC’s iconic sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL), and by 2020, she was promoted to repertory status, making her the seventh African-American female cast member in the show’s long history. Aside from her work on SNL, Nwodim has appeared in various TV shows, including Law & Order: True Crime: The Menendez Murders, 2 Broke Girls, and Living Biblically. She also co-starred in the Peacock series Mr. Throwback in 2024, alongside Adam Pally and Steph Curry.
