Jared Leonardo Lee, better known as DUCKWRTH, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter celebrated for his genre-blending approach to music. Born on May 13, 1989, in Los Angeles, California, he grew up in a strict Christian household in South Central LA. Before fully committing to music, he studied graphic design in college, a background that continues to influence his creative direction, from album visuals to fashion and stage aesthetics.

DUCKWRTH started releasing music independently in the mid-2010s, gaining attention for his fresh fusion of hip-hop, funk, R&B, and electronic influences. In 2015, he teamed up with The Kickdrums for Nowhere, a project that helped expand his fanbase. The following year, he dropped his debut full-length album, I’m Uugly, showcasing his dynamic energy and artistic range. His 2017 mixtape, An XTRA UUGLY Mixtape, marked his first release under Republic Records, further solidifying his presence in the industry.

His music has been featured in several major films and TV shows, with the standout track “Start a Riot” appearing in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. His song “MICHUUL.” was also used in HBO’s Insecure and The CW’s All American. In 2020, he released SuperGood, his major-label debut, followed by the EPs SG8 (2021) and Chrome Bull (2022), both under his imprint, SuperGood Creative Studios. With his ever-evolving style, DUCKWRTH continues to push boundaries, blending futuristic sounds with raw storytelling and infectious grooves.
