DOMi Louna, born Domitille Degalle in Metz, France, is a gifted French keyboardist celebrated for her dynamic blend of jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music. Growing up in a musically supportive family, she began exploring piano, keyboard, and drums as early as age three. By the time she was five, she was already training at the Conservatoire Régional du Grand Nancy, where she honed her skills in both classical and jazz disciplines. Her passion and talent led her to further studies at the Paris Conservatoire and eventually earned her a full Presidential Scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she graduated in 2020.

DOMi first caught widespread attention through viral videos that showcased her extraordinary improvisational talent and intricate rhythms. A pivotal moment in her career came in 2018 when she met American drummer JD Beck at the NAMM Show, and the two quickly formed the innovative jazz duo DOMi & JD Beck. Their debut album, Not Tight (2022), released under Anderson .Paak’s label APESHIT in collaboration with Blue Note Records, earned critical acclaim and Grammy nominations for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album and Best New Artist.

Beyond her work with JD Beck, DOMi has collaborated with celebrated artists like Thundercat, Anderson .Paak, Herbie Hancock, and Snoop Dogg. Her performances at renowned stages, including the Newport Jazz Festival and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, have firmly established her as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary jazz, continuously pushing creative boundaries with her vibrant energy and technical brilliance.
