Alfredo Olivas, born José Alfredo Olivas Rojas on October 1, 1993, in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico, is a celebrated artist in the regional Mexican music scene. Nicknamed “El Patroncito,” he began his musical journey early, writing over a thousand songs and exploring traditional genres like banda, norteño, and mariachi from the age of nine. By 16, Olivas had signed with Fonovisa Records and released his debut album, El Patroncito, in 2011, marking the start of a promising career.

His 2015 album, El Privilegio, was a major breakthrough, climbing to No. 2 on both the Billboard Top Latin Albums and Top Regional Mexican Albums charts. The hit single “Mi Porvenir” became a fan favorite and earned significant radio play. Alfredo’s music is known for its heartfelt storytelling, often weaving themes of love, life struggles, and social commentary, connecting deeply with listeners.

In a dramatic turn, Olivas survived a harrowing shooting in 2015 during a live performance in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, where he was wounded eight times. This experience profoundly influenced his artistry, prompting a shift toward more introspective and romantic themes.
