About DOKYEOM

Lee Seokmin, better known by his stage name Dokyeom or simply DK, is a South Korean singer and musical theater actor born on February 18, 1997, in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Raised in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, DK grew up in a family where music was always present, which naturally led him to discover his love for singing at a young age. During his school years, he joined a local rock band and later trained professionally to refine his vocals—skills that would later become a defining part of his career.

DK made his official debut in 2015 as one of the main vocalists of the popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN, under Pledis Entertainment. His warm, expressive voice quickly stood out, becoming a vital part of the group’s distinct sound. He’s also the leader of SEVENTEEN’s fun and energetic subunit BSS (BooSeokSoon), along with fellow members Hoshi and Seungkwan.

Outside of idol activities, DK has made a name for himself in musical theatre. His portrayal of King Arthur in the Korean production of Xcalibur in 2019 and again in 2021 earned him praise for both his vocal performance and acting depth—proving that he’s much more than just a pop singer.

Known among fans for his radiant personality and infectious laughter, DK is often affectionately called “the sunshine” of SEVENTEEN. With his versatility, sincerity, and natural charm, he continues to win hearts both on stage and off, as a beloved artist in the K-pop and musical worlds.
