Diljit Dosanjh, born on January 6, 1984, is an Indian singer, actor, film producer, and television personality who has made significant contributions to Punjabi music and cinema, as well as Hindi cinema. He hails from Dosanjh Kalan in Jalandhar, Punjab, where he began his career in 2002. Over the years, he gained recognition in the Punjabi music industry with albums like “Smile” (2005) and “Chocolate” (2008). His collaboration with Yo Yo Honey Singh on the album “The Next Level” (2009) further solidified his place in the industry. Dosanjh made his acting debut with a cameo in the Punjabi film “Mel Karade Rabba” (2010), and soon after, he starred as the lead in “The Lion of Punjab” (2011). Although the film didn’t perform well at the box office, the soundtrack, particularly the track “Lak 28 Kudi Da,” was a major success.

Dosanjh’s Bollywood debut came in 2016 with the critically acclaimed crime thriller “Udta Punjab,” which tackled the issue of substance abuse in Punjab.
