Daniel Lee, born on January 22, 1986, in Bradford, England, is a renowned British fashion designer celebrated for his innovative contributions to luxury fashion. Growing up in a working-class family with his father working as a mechanic and his mother in office administration, Lee’s passion for fashion led him to pursue studies at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. There, he earned a master’s degree under the guidance of famed mentor Louise Wilson.
Lee’s career began with internships at major fashion houses such as Maison Margiela and Balenciaga, followed by a stint at Donna Karan in New York. In 2012, he joined Céline in Paris, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become the Ready-to-Wear Design Director, working closely with Phoebe Philo to shape the brand’s direction.
In 2018, Lee was appointed Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, where he made a significant impact. He rejuvenated the brand by modernizing its signature Intrecciato weave and introducing iconic pieces like the Pouch clutch bag.
