Damiano David

Damiano David, born on January 8, 1999, in Rome, Italy, is an electrifying force in modern rock, best known as the frontman of Måneskin. Raised by flight attendant parents, Damiano grew up exposed to different cultures, which helped shape his broad artistic vision. Before music took over his life, he was a talented basketball player, playing as a point guard for Eurobasket Roma, an experience that instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and determination.

His journey into music began at just six years old, but it wasn’t until high school that things truly took shape. While attending Liceo Linguistico Eugenio Montale, he met bassist Victoria De Angelis and guitarist Thomas Raggi, forming Måneskin in 2016. Starting as street musicians in Rome, the band’s big break came in 2017 when they finished as runners-up on X Factor Italia. With the release of their debut album Il ballo della vita (2018) and Teatro d’ira: Vol. I (2021), they skyrocketed to international fame, solidified by their Eurovision-winning anthem Zitti e buoni in 2021.

In 2024, Damiano stepped into a new chapter with his solo career, dropping introspective singles like Silverlines and Born with a Broken Heart, leading up to his debut album Funny Little Fears, set for release in May 2025.

Beyond music, he has dabbled in acting, voicing a character in Disney’s Cruella (2021) and appearing in Anitta’s Mil Veces music video. Passionate about social causes, Damiano is a vocal advocate for racial and LGBTQ+ rights.
