Coldplay

Coldplay, an English rock band formed in London in 1996, has emerged as one of the most successful and influential bands of the 21st century. The group consists of vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion, and creative director Phil Harvey, who is often regarded as the fifth member. They initially formed under the name Pectoralz while studying at University College London and later changed their name to Starfish before finally settling on Coldplay in 1998. The band released their debut EP Safety in 1998, followed by The Blue Room in 1999, which marked their first major label release under Parlophone.
