Coez

Silvano Albanese, better known by his stage name Coez, is an Italian singer, rapper, and songwriter born on July 11, 1983, in Nocera Inferiore, Italy. Raised in Rome, he developed a deep love for music from an early age. Before fully dedicating himself to his music career, he briefly studied comedy at the Scuola Cinematografica, an experience that helped shape his storytelling abilities.

Coez’s journey in music began in the underground hip-hop scene, where he co-founded the group Circolo Vizioso with Franz and Nicco. In 2007, he gained further recognition as part of the collective Brokenspeakers, which opened for major international acts, including Busta Rhymes. However, his true breakthrough came when he embarked on a solo career, allowing him to explore a more melodic and introspective style.

His first solo album, Figlio di nessuno (2009), laid the groundwork for his signature fusion of hip-hop and singer-songwriter influences. In 2013, he gained mainstream attention with Non erano fiori, which climbed to number nine on the Italian Albums Chart. His 2017 album, Faccio un casino, propelled him to stardom, especially with the single La musica non c’è, which became a massive hit, topping the Italian Singles Chart and earning multiple platinum certifications.

Coez continued his rise with È sempre bello (2019), which debuted at number one, followed by Volare (2021), reinforcing his place in the industry. In 2023, he teamed up with Frah Quintale for Lovebars, another chart-topping project. With his unique blend of rap, pop, and electronic elements, Coez has carved out a distinctive space in Italian music, resonating deeply with audiences through his heartfelt lyrics and genre-defying sound.
