Codiciado, born Erick de Jesús Aragón Alcantar on February 19, 1993, in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, is a leading figure in Latin regional Mexican music. He initially rose to fame as the lead vocalist of Grupo Codiciado from 2015 to 2021, before embarking on a solo career that has allowed him to refine his distinctive sound, blending traditional corridos with contemporary influences.

Codiciado’s musical journey began in his youth, when he worked in California’s agricultural fields, an experience that profoundly shaped his songwriting. His breakout hit, “Vamos Aclarando Muchas Cosas,” set the stage for his rise in the industry. After parting ways with Grupo Codiciado, he launched his solo career with the album No Lo Intenten En Casa Vol. 2, keeping the essence of his former group while infusing his personal style and voice.

In 2024, Codiciado took his music across the U.S. on his first solo tour, “Ando Enfocado,” performing in cities like Sacramento, San Diego, and Phoenix. During the tour, he made a point to give back to local farmworkers by providing meals and concert tickets, honoring the communities that played a key role in shaping his life.

Known for collaborations with artists such as Peso Pluma, Santa Fe Klan, and Natanael Cano, Codiciado continues to evolve as an artist, bridging traditional Mexican sounds with modern elements that resonate with a wide and growing audience.
