Ciara Princess Harris, known professionally as Ciara, is a multifaceted American entertainer who has made a significant mark in music, acting, and business. Born on October 25, 1985, in Austin, Texas, she had a dynamic childhood, moving across different U.S. states and abroad due to her father’s military career. These early experiences contributed to her broad perspective, which later influenced her work.

Ciara’s music career took off in her teens when she joined the girl group Hearsay, but it was her solo career that truly launched her into stardom. In 2004, she released her debut album Goodies, with the title track featuring Petey Pablo hitting the top of the Billboard Hot 100. This success was followed by iconic hits like “1, 2 Step” with Missy Elliott and “Oh” with Ludacris, both of which also dominated the charts.

Beyond her music career, Ciara has expanded her talents into acting, modeling, and entrepreneurship. She appeared in films like That’s My Boy and worked on numerous television projects. In 2016, she married NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, and together they have two children, Sienna Princess and Win Harrison.
