Jonathan Vera Granja, professionally known as Canelita, is a celebrated Spanish flamenco singer born on July 31, 1989, in Algeciras, Spain. Growing up in the La Bajadilla neighborhood, he was discovered by the renowned guitarist Manzanita during the recording of “Homenaje al Chino.” Canelita’s music career took off with his debut album, Vivo Errante, released in 2004, followed by Por mi calle in 2005. In 2010, he released Vuelvo, an album that blended traditional flamenco with pop influences to broaden his audience.
Throughout his career, Canelita has collaborated with numerous artists, expanding his reach beyond flamenco. One of his notable partnerships was with footballer Sergio Ramos, for the song “A quien le voy a contar mis penas.” In 2019, he released Intentaré Olvidarte, featuring Moncho Chavea, and in 2022, he joined forces with C.
