About BNXN

Daniel Benson, better known as BNXN (pronounced “Benson” and formerly known as Buju), is a Nigerian Afro-fusion artist celebrated for his smooth vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and genre-blending sound. Born on May 14, 1997, in Lagos, he spent his early years in Gbagada before relocating to Ogun State. Influenced by iconic Nigerian acts like P-Square and D’Banj, BNXN discovered his passion for music while singing in his school choir, a foundation that shaped his emotive style.

He began releasing music independently in 2018, with early singles like “Catch a Vibe” and “Wahala” catching underground attention. His breakout moment came in 2019 with “Spiritual,” a collaboration with Zlatan that introduced his talent to a wider audience. By 2021, BNXN had become a rising star, releasing the EP Sorry I’m Late, with standout tracks like “Kilometer” confirming his status as a key player in the Afrobeat scene.

In 2022, BNXN scored a massive international hit with “Finesse,” a collaboration with producer Pheelz that charted in the UK and became a viral anthem. He followed up with the Bad Since ’97 EP, collaborating with stars like Wizkid and Olamide, showing off his versatility and artistic growth.

October 2023 saw the release of his debut album Sincerely, Benson, a rich blend of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and introspective storytelling. In a surprising twist, BNXN and former rival Ruger dropped the joint EP RnB in 2024, created in just three days and praised for its chemistry and cohesion.
