Bishop Briggs, born Sarah Grace McLaughlin on July 18, 1992, in London, England, is a British singer and songwriter whose sound blends alternative, electropop, and indie pop influences. Raised in Tokyo and Hong Kong, she later moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue her music career. Her stage name, Bishop Briggs, pays tribute to her Scottish roots, particularly the town of Bishopbriggs. Over the years, Bishop Briggs has carved out a distinct place in the music world, capturing listeners with her powerful vocals and emotional depth.

Her breakout came with the release of her debut single “River,” which reached number three on the US Alternative Chart and has accumulated over 485 million streams on Spotify. This track was part of her debut album, Church of Scars, which dropped in April 2018. Following its success, she released her sophomore album Champion in 2019, which was widely praised and even made it onto The Young Folks’ Top 50 albums of the year. In 2023, Bishop Briggs won Season 9 of The Masked Singer as “Medusa,” becoming the youngest winner in the show’s history at just 30 years old.
