Anycia Symone Edwards, professionally known as Anycia, is an American rapper and musician born on August 19, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia. She’s gained recognition for her distinctive fusion of trap music, marked by her smooth, conversational delivery and confident flow.

Raised in a Catholic household by her grandmother, Narvellette, and mother, Andrea, Anycia was exposed to a rich tapestry of musical influences thanks to her family’s roots in Barbados, New Orleans, and Los Angeles. Growing up, her mother introduced her to artists like Usher, igniting her passion for music. By the time she was in school, Anycia was already rapping, and she recorded her first track, “Queen of Atlanta,” during a high school audio engineering class.

In 2022, Anycia decided to take her music career seriously and released her debut single, “Kimora Lee.” However, it was her 2023 hit “So What” that really put her on the map, with the track going viral after a snippet circulated online.
