Amenazzy

José Daniel Betances, better known by his stage name Amenazzy or “El Nene La Amenaza,” is a Dominican singer and songwriter who has made a name for himself with his unique fusion of reggaeton and R&B. Born on August 4, 1995, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, Amenazzy’s love for music developed at an early age, earning him the affectionate nickname “El Nene” (“The Kid”) from his peers.

Amenazzy’s career took off with his 2015 solo hit, “La Chanty,” which quickly gained popularity, but it was his track “Baby,” featuring Nicky Jam and Farruko, that truly catapulted him to international recognition. With over 300 million views on YouTube, “Baby” showcased his ability to blend catchy beats with smooth melodies, solidifying his place in the Latin music scene.

In 2021, he further cemented his status with the release of his EP Santo Niño, which highlighted his evolving sound and versatility as an artist. Amenazzy has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Latin music, including Don Omar, G-Eazy, Bad Bunny, and Nicky Jam, expanding his influence across genres.
