A. G. Cook

Alexander Guy Cook, known professionally as A. G. Cook, was born on August 23, 1990, in London, England. He is a groundbreaking music producer, singer, and songwriter, best known for founding PC Music, a record label and art collective that has become a major force in shaping the hyperpop genre since its inception in 2013.

Cook’s musical journey began during his time at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he formed the project Dux Content with Danny L Harle. Their avant-garde approach to music quickly caught the attention of SOPHIE, a producer with whom Cook collaborated to push the boundaries of experimental pop music. This collaboration played a pivotal role in the rise of hyperpop as a genre.

In addition to his work with PC Music, Cook has been the executive producer for Charli XCX, contributing to her mixtapes “Number 1 Angel” and “Pop 2,” as well as her albums “Charli” and “how i’m feeling now.” As a solo artist, Cook has released projects like “7G” and “Apple” in 2020, and “Britpop” in 2024, further cementing his place as one of the most innovative figures in modern pop music.

In 2025, his transformative work was recognized when he received the Brit Award for Producer of the Year. Cook’s ability to blend experimental sounds with mainstream appeal continues to influence and redefine the pop music landscape.
