100% Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Yeah
All the rage you sprinkle down off your safe and cozy beds
I think it’s time you get out
Share the hope you’re basking in
I won’t let good people down like that
These songs aren’t for awards, it’s how we take a breath

[Pre-Chorus]
Less talk
Take steps, then your truth will show

[Chorus]
Whether I’m at the top or whether I’m broken down
My word is cement, I’m gonna give you 100%
Whether we’re so in love or whether you’re falling out
My word is cement, I’m gonna give you 100%

[Post-Chorus]
100%

[Verse 2]
Oh
I feel the trauma creeping up
Face the mirror, my head erupts
But what is fiction? Irrational fear
Grasping air, I’ve got to let it go
Life will kick you down, be sure of that
But stand up, grab it’s throat
And yell “You’ve met your match”

[Pre-Chorus]
Less talk
Take steps, then your truth will show

[Chorus]
Whether I’m at the top or whether I’m broken down
My word is cement, I’m gonna give you 100%
Whether we’re so in love or whether you’re falling out
My word is cement, I’m gonna give you 100%

[Bridge]
Jump in
Just enjoy

[Pre-Chorus]
Ooh, less talk
Take steps, then your truth will show

[Chorus]
Whether I’m at the top or whether I’m broken down
My word is cement, I’m gonna give you 100%
Whether we’re so in love or whether you’re falling out
My word is cement, I’m gonna give you 100%
Whether we’re so in love or whether you’re falling out
My word is cement, I’m gonna give you 100%

100% Lyrics Meaning

[Verse 1]
Jordan Pundik opens with a critical tone aimed at those living comfortably while overlooking the struggles of others. He challenges complacency and urges listeners to actively contribute to shared hope instead of simply benefiting from it. The verse underscores the sincerity behind the band’s music—it’s not about fame or accolades but about survival and emotional release. For New Found Glory, songs are lifelines, not status symbols.

[Pre-Chorus]
This short section emphasizes action over words. Pundik calls for less talk and more personal movement, suggesting that only through action will someone’s real character—or “truth”—be revealed. It functions as a thematic pivot, reinforcing that genuine commitment is shown through behavior, not promises.

[Chorus]
The chorus serves as the emotional core of the track. Whether riding high or at a low point, Pundik asserts that his word is unshakable—he will always give 100%. This is a vow of integrity and consistency, especially in relationships or self-expression. The repetition of “my word is cement” underscores the unbreakable nature of this commitment, no matter how circumstances change.

[Post-Chorus]
The echo of “100%” here drives the message home with a punch. It acts as both a reinforcement and a rhythmic reset, giving weight to the previous declarations and priming the listener for the next emotional wave.

[Verse 2]
This verse dives deeper into the internal struggles faced by Pundik, touching on trauma, self-doubt, and emotional overload. The imagery becomes more intense, portraying a confrontation with fear and confusion. Despite these challenges, the response is powerful: face adversity head-on, fight back, and claim ownership over one’s life. It’s a rallying cry for resilience.

[Pre-Chorus]
Reiterating the earlier message, this line serves as a grounding reminder: actions reveal truth. After such an emotionally raw verse, this repetition reinforces the song’s core message about integrity and personal responsibility.

[Chorus]
Repeated with renewed urgency, the chorus continues to affirm a steadfast promise. The lyrics show that emotional turmoil or relational fluctuations won’t break the narrator’s vow to show up fully. The commitment is not conditional—it’s absolute.

[Bridge]
This brief bridge shifts the tone slightly with a call to “jump in” and enjoy life. It introduces a sense of spontaneity and encourages embracing the moment without hesitation, even amidst struggle. It adds balance to the heavier themes, reminding listeners that joy is still possible.

[Pre-Chorus]
Now sung with a melodic variation, this familiar line is given more emotional depth through its repetition, acting as a connective thread that unifies the song’s dynamic structure.

[Chorus]
The final chorus drives home the song’s enduring message one last time, stacking layers of emotional intensity. The repeated line about giving “100%” becomes an anthem for loyalty, strength, and persistence across emotional highs and lows.

[Outro]
The repeated “100%” in the outro brings the message full circle. It leaves listeners with a lasting impression of dedication, as the phrase echoes like a personal mantra—strong, clear, and unwavering.
