New Found Glory is a prominent American rock band that formed in 1997 in Coral Springs, Florida. Blending energetic pop-punk with touches of hardcore, the group quickly carved out a distinct identity in the punk scene. The original members—vocalist Jordan Pundik, bassist Ian Grushka, guitarist Steve Klein, drummer Joe Marino, and lead guitarist Chad Gilbert—found early chemistry, with Cyrus Bolooki soon replacing Marino on drums to complete the classic lineup.
The band first made waves with their debut EP It’s All About the Girls (1997), building a buzz that led to their breakout full-length album Nothing Gold Can Stay (1999). Its raw emotion and relatable lyrics resonated with fans and caught the attention of Drive-Thru Records, which re-released the album and pushed them into the national spotlight. The single “Hit or Miss” became their first mainstream success.
Riding the wave of early 2000s pop-punk popularity, New Found Glory released a string of successful albums, including Sticks and Stones (2002) and Catalyst (2004), known for their infectious hooks and high-energy performances. With Coming Home (2006), the band showcased a more mature, melodic direction.
Despite internal shifts—most notably the departure of Steve Klein in 2013—the band remained active, continuing to tour and release albums such as Resurrection (2014) and Forever + Ever x Infinity (2020). Often credited as pioneers of the “easycore” sound, New Found Glory has built a lasting legacy through consistency, passion, and a deep connection with their fans.
