YFN Lucci

Rayshawn Lamar Bennett, better known as YFN Lucci, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter born on February 16, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up in the Summerhill neighborhood, Lucci was heavily influenced by southern rap legends like T.I., Jeezy, and Lil Wayne. Music became a passion early on — by age 16, he was already recording songs, inspired in part by his older brother, rapper YFN KAY, and encouraged by rapper Johnny Cinco to chase his dreams.

Lucci’s career took off in 2014 when he signed with Think It’s A Game Entertainment and dropped his first mixtape, Wish Me Well. But it was his 2016 follow-up, Wish Me Well 2, that really put him on the map. The mixtape featured the breakout hit “Key to the Streets,” a collaboration with Migos and Trouble that earned him his first spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The song’s official remix, which included heavyweights like 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, and Quavo, helped solidify his rising star status. In 2017, he released the EP Long Live Nut, which featured the popular track “Everyday We Lit” with PnB Rock. His debut studio album, Ray Ray from Summerhill, dropped in 2018 and reached number 14 on the Billboard 200, proving Lucci’s staying power.

Despite his success, Lucci faced legal troubles. In 2021, he was arrested in connection with a RICO case and later pled guilty in early 2024. After serving nearly four years, he was released in January 2025. Now free, YFN Lucci is focused on personal growth and is eager to return to making music.

His style is a unique blend of street storytelling and melodic hooks, which allows him to connect deeply with fans. YFN Lucci’s authenticity and passion continue to make him a compelling voice in hip-hop.
