Werenoi

Werenoi, born Jérémy Bana Owona on January 30, 1994, in Melun, France, is a rising star in the French rap scene with Cameroonian roots. Raised in Montreuil, a suburb of Paris, Werenoi’s early exposure to music came through his family, and he began rapping at just 14 years old. Despite his growing fame, he keeps his personal life out of the spotlight, allowing his music to speak for itself.

In February 2021, he dropped his debut single, “Guadalajara,” under the name We Renoi, quickly gaining attention with tracks like “Scarface” and collaborations like “Señor de los Gallos” with Lacrim. His breakthrough came in May 2022, when he signed with AllPoints France and released his first official project, the EP Telegram. The project, which initially featured 12 tracks, was later reissued with additional songs, including a standout collaboration with Ninho. Telegram earned gold certification, with the hit “Solitaire” reaching diamond status.

2023 saw Werenoi continue his rise with the release of his debut studio album, Carré, which featured a strong lineup of collaborators, including PLK, Ninho, and Tiakola. It sold over 18,000 copies in its first week, making it the best-selling album in France that year. His second album, Pyramide, dropped in February 2024, boasting features from top names like Damso, Aya Nakamura, and SCH.

Looking ahead, Werenoi is set to release his highly anticipated third album, Diamant noir, in April 2025, with collaborations from artists like Damso, Gunna, and Kalash. Known for blending modern production with classic hip-hop influences, Werenoi continues to carve out his unique space in the music world, constantly pushing boundaries and evolving his sound.
