Viagra Boys

Viagra Boys is a Swedish post-punk band that formed in Stockholm in 2015, with a lineup consisting of lead vocalist Sebastian Murphy (who is originally from the U.S.), bassist Henrik Höckert, drummer Tor Sjödén, saxophonist Oskar Carls, keyboardist Elias Jungqvist, and guitarist Linus Hillborg. The band is known for blending punk rock with elements of art rock, dance-punk, jazz, and even country music, resulting in a distinctive sound that sets them apart from their peers.

The band’s lyrics are infused with satire and dark humor, often critiquing issues like hypermasculinity, far-right politics, and conspiracy theories. Their unique approach to both music and message has garnered significant attention and praise in the post-punk scene.

Viagra Boys released their debut album Street Worms in 2018, which was met with critical acclaim for its distinctive style and wit. This was followed by Welfare Jazz in 2021 and Cave World in 2022, both of which continued to explore societal issues through the band’s unorthodox lens. In 2025, they announced their upcoming album Viagr Aboys, set to drop on April 25. Alongside the album release, the band will play their biggest show to date at Stockholm’s Avicii Arena on November 26, 2025.
