TUKI

Tuki (stylized as tuki.) is a rising Japanese singer-songwriter known for her heartfelt music and rapid ascent in the industry. Born and raised in Japan, she picked up the guitar at 13 and began sharing her original songs and covers on TikTok, where her raw talent quickly caught the attention of music lovers.

Her big break came in July 2023 when she posted a snippet of her song Bansanka. The emotional track resonated deeply with listeners, leading to its official release on September 29, 2023. The song became a massive hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 by January 2024 and making Tuki the youngest artist to surpass 100 million streams on the chart.

Building on this success, she released her second single, Ichirinka, on November 28, 2023, accompanied by a beautifully animated music video by Urara. Her third single, Sakura Kimi Watashi, followed in January 2024 and was featured on AbemaTV’s reality series I Fell in Love with You Today – Graduation Edition, further expanding her audience.

Despite her growing fame, Tuki remains an enigma. She made her television debut on Buzz Rhythm in April 2024 without revealing her face, keeping an air of mystery around her identity. She later performed Bansanka at the prestigious NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen on New Year’s Eve.

On January 8, 2025, she released her debut album, 15, a deeply personal collection of songs she had written throughout her teenage years.
