About Tori Kelly
Tori Kelly, born Victoria Loren Kelly on December 14, 1992, in Wildomar, California, is a powerhouse singer, songwriter, and actress whose voice effortlessly bridges pop, gospel, and R&B. Raised in a musically rich household, she began her journey at a young age, winning America’s Most Talented Kids in 2004. She later found a digital stage on YouTube, where her heartfelt covers gained a loyal following and eventually caught the industry’s attention. In 2010, she auditioned for American Idol and made it to Hollywood Week, but it was her determination and independent spirit that truly set her apart—self-producing and releasing her first EP, Handmade Songs, in 2012.
Her big breakthrough came in 2015 with the release of Unbreakable Smile, her debut major-label album, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The album introduced audiences to hits like “Nobody Love” and “Should’ve Been Us,” showcasing her vocal prowess and authenticity. Tori’s versatility took a spiritual turn with her 2018 gospel album Hiding Place, produced with Kirk Franklin. The project earned her two Grammy Awards and highlighted her ability to cross genres while staying true to her roots.
Tori also lent her voice to Meena the elephant in the animated hits Sing and Sing 2, endearing her to a new generation of fans. In 2023, she faced a life-threatening health scare involving blood clots but emerged with renewed strength and a fresh creative spark, releasing her EP Tori, embracing a nostalgic Y2K pop-R&B sound.
Married to German-American basketball player André Murillo since 2018, Tori continues to inspire with her honesty, resilience, and unwavering commitment to her art.
