The Chalkeaters are a Russian musical group that rose to fame for their comedic songs that parody video games and internet culture. Formed in Saint Petersburg in 2018, the group is made up of Alios (Alexander Serebro), Ergy (Sergey Gumba), and Tim Maslov. Their music blends humor, catchy melodies, and gaming references, creating content that resonates with both gaming enthusiasts and meme-loving audiences.

Their debut single, “Bowsette,” released in 2019, was inspired by the viral internet meme involving characters from the Super Mario series. This track set the stage for their signature style of combining satirical lyrics with playful tunes. Another standout track, “It Just Works,” humorously tackled Bethesda’s game development woes, featuring a jazzy twist and poking fun at Todd Howard.

In 2020, they hit a major milestone with the release of “Doom Crossing: Eternal Horizons,” a creative mashup of Doom and Animal Crossing. The music video for the song quickly went viral, reaching over 50 million views and earning them international recognition.

The Chalkeaters have also collaborated with other creators like Black Gryph0n and The Stupendium, further cementing their presence in the gaming and online music community. Their videos often feature unique animations and guest vocalists, making them an integral part of gaming culture.
