The Bilz

The Bilz & Kashif are a Montreal-based musical trio known for their innovative fusion of pop and Indian music. The group, formed in the early 2000s, consists of DJ Vicious, a South Indian Canadian musician; Master-D, a Bengali Canadian musician; and Kashif Khan, a Pakistani-Canadian singer-songwriter. Their collaboration began with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2006, setting the stage for their signature sound that blends Western pop rhythms with traditional Indian melodies.

Their breakthrough moment came with the release of “2 Step Bhangra,” a hit single that captured widespread attention and established their unique place in the music scene. This was followed by their 2010 album Breaking Barriers, which featured popular tracks like “On The Dancefloor” and “Single.” The album showcased their seamless integration of various musical styles, allowing them to reach a diverse audience and pushing the boundaries of genre blending.

In 2013, they released The Trinity, a project that further highlighted their musical versatility. Tracks like “Tera Nasha” and “Against All Odds” were celebrated for their ability to merge Punjabi and English lyrics, demonstrating their knack for combining cultural influences in fresh ways. Their work continued to earn critical praise, solidifying their reputation as pioneers in the global music scene.

Over the years, The Bilz & Kashif have shared the stage with international superstars like Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, and Sean Paul. Their music has garnered over 200 million views worldwide, making them influential figures in the fusion of Western pop and South Asian music.
