Born on February 2, 1999, in Bay City, Texas, he has gained recognition for blending traditional Mexican influences with contemporary rap, creating a distinctive sound that resonates with a diverse audience.

Growing up, Gazca faced many challenges. At just eight years old, his mother, Sophia Ann Gazca, tragically passed away in a drunk driving accident, and his father spent much of his life incarcerated. Despite these hardships, Gazca found solace in music, drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists, including the legendary Big L and country icon George Strait.

He began his musical journey in the early 2020s, with the release of mixtapes like South Texas Project (2020) and Southside Steppin (2021). His breakthrough moment came in 2023 with the hit single “Johnny Dang,” featuring Paul Wall and Drodi. The track not only debuted at number 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 but also earned a platinum certification from the RIAA. This success led to the release of his debut studio album, Lonestar Luchador, which debuted at number 59 on the Billboard 200.

In recognition of his achievements, Bay City declared February 2 as “That Mexican OT Day.” Known for his unique fusion of Southern rap and Mexican culture, That Mexican OT continues to make waves in the Texas hip-hop community and beyond.
