Tea Tairović

Tea Tairović, born on April 26, 1996, in Novi Sad, Serbia, is a singer, songwriter, and dancer known for her dynamic stage presence and fusion of pop-folk and turbo-folk. Her journey to stardom began in 2015 when she participated in Zvezde Granda, a popular Serbian music competition. Although she didn’t win, the exposure helped her break into the industry, paving the way for a successful career.

She released her first single, Da si moj (If You Were Mine), in 2014, followed by tracks like Karakterna osobina and Meni odgovara. However, it was her 2021 hit Hajde that truly launched her into mainstream success, even charting on Billboard Croatia Songs in early 2022.

Over the years, Tairović has built a strong discography, releasing three studio albums—Balkanija (2022), Balerina (2023), and Tea (2024). Balerina gained international recognition, ranking on Austria’s Ö3 Top 40 and Switzerland’s Schweizer Hitparade, while its title track, featuring Voyage, climbed to #2 on the Billboard Croatia Songs chart.

Aside from music, Tairović is known for her energetic performances, incorporating elements of belly dance and Latin rhythms, earning her comparisons to Shakira. She also draws inspiration from Balkan and Eastern European folk traditions, often covering songs from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania.

With a background in ballet, jazz, and Latin dance, Tairović initially pursued psychology at the University of Novi Sad before fully dedicating herself to music. Today, she remains one of Serbia’s most exciting artists, continuously evolving and captivating audiences with her unique blend of modern pop and traditional folk sounds.
