Tasha Cobbs Leonard is a Grammy Award-winning gospel singer, songwriter, and pastor, renowned for her powerful influence in contemporary Christian music. Born Natasha Tameika Cobbs on July 7, 1981, in Jesup, Georgia, she grew up in a deeply spiritual environment. Her father, Bishop Fritz Cobbs, founded Jesup New Life Ministries, where she began leading worship at a young age, laying the foundation for her musical journey.

Tasha’s career took flight with her 2010 debut album Smile, but it was her 2013 EP Grace that truly propelled her to national recognition. The EP featured the hit single “Break Every Chain,” which dominated the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

She has since released several successful albums, including One Place Live (2015), Heart. Passion. Pursuit. (2017), and Royalty: Live at the Ryman (2020).
