Solána Imani Rowe, better known by her stage name SZA, is an American singer-songwriter who was born on November 8, 1989, in St. Louis, Missouri. Raised in Maplewood, New Jersey, SZA developed a passion for music at an early age. She began her career in the early 2010s, releasing two EPs, See.SZA.Run and S, before signing with Top Dawg Entertainment, a move that would launch her into stardom.

Her debut studio album, Ctrl, released in 2017, received critical acclaim and helped solidify her place in the music industry.
