Soprano, born Saïd M’Roumbaba on January 14, 1979, in Marseille, France, is a renowned French rapper, singer, and songwriter with Comorian roots. He first gained attention as a member of the influential hip-hop group Psy 4 de la Rime, which emerged in the late 1990s. The group’s debut album in 2002 marked the start of Soprano’s musical career, laying the foundation for his later success.

In 2007, Soprano embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album Puisqu’il Faut Vivre. The album was a commercial success, securing a spot on the Billboard European Top 100, and helped establish him as a solo artist in the French music scene. His follow-up album, La Colombe, released in 2010, featured collaborations with artists such as Amadou & Mariam, further expanding his musical reach and showcasing his versatility across genres.
