Smash Into Pieces

Smash Into Pieces is a Swedish alternative rock band formed in 2008 in Örebro. The band consists of Chris Adam Hedman Sörbye (vocals), Per Bergquist (rhythm guitar), Benjamin Jennebo (lead guitar), Viktor Vidlund (bass), and Isak Snow (drums). The name “Smash Into Pieces” symbolizes the band’s shared vision and determination to break boundaries and pursue their musical goals.

In 2009, the band gained national attention by reaching the semifinals of “Talang,” the Swedish version of “Got Talent.” They signed with Ninetone Records but later left the label to maintain creative freedom. Their debut album, Unbreakable (2013), was a success, reaching third place on Sweden’s rock chart.

Over the years, the band evolved their sound, blending electronic elements with rock. Their 2020 album Arcadia was particularly notable for its conceptual narrative, set in a video game world controlled by the AI, S4Y.

Smash Into Pieces also took part in Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2023, their song “Six Feet Under” earned them third place, and they returned in 2024 with “Heroes Are Calling,” once again finishing third.

In September 2022, they released their seventh studio album, Disconnect, and embarked on a U.S. tour, opening for Citizen Soldier. Smash Into Pieces continues to make waves in the rock scene with their innovative music and dynamic performances.
