Sharif Fernández Méndez, known in the music world as Sharif el Increíble, is a Spanish rapper, poet, and intellectual born on January 17, 1980, in Zaragoza, Spain. His musical career began in 1994 with the hip-hop group Fuck Tha Posse, which marked the start of his deep connection to the Zaragoza rap scene. In 2006, he co-founded the group Tr3s Monos, which blended rap with soulful influences. Their albums ¿Quién es Simone Staton? (2007) and Buscando a Simone Staton (2008) cemented their presence in the music industry.

Sharif took a step towards solo stardom in 2010 with his debut album A ras del sueño, followed by Insomnios, nostalgias y descartes in 2011. His 2013 project, Sobre los márgenes, explored the themes of social alienation and personal introspection, a reflection of his unique lyrical style. 2015 saw the release of Bajo el rayo que no cesa, which featured collaborations with other influential Spanish artists like Rapsusklei and Rafael Lechowski.

Sharif’s music is widely celebrated for its poetic lyricism and introspective themes. His work frequently touches on personal experiences and social issues, resonating deeply with fans, especially in Mexico, where he has developed a loyal following. In 2024, he released Capricornio, an album that combined rap with diverse musical elements such as guitars, violins, and piano, featuring collaborations with artists like Sho-Hai and El Kanka.

In addition to his music career, Sharif holds degrees in both computer science and Hispanic philology from the University of Zaragoza, highlighting his intellectual versatility and depth.
