Rich The Kid

Rich the Kid, born Dimitri Leslie Roger on July 13, 1992, in Queens, New York, is an American rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur who carved his own lane with high-energy flows and a sharp business mindset. Of Haitian descent, he moved to College Park, Georgia, at the age of 13, where the Southern hip-hop sound—shaped by artists like T.I. and Jeezy—played a pivotal role in influencing his style.

He kicked off his rap career under the name Black Boy Da Kid before rebranding as Rich the Kid. His 2013 debut mixtape Been About the Benjamins put him on the map, but it was his collaboration with Migos on “Jumpin Like Jordan” that really started to turn heads. After a string of mixtapes and building a loyal fanbase, he signed with Interscope Records in 2017. The following year, his debut studio album The World Is Yours dropped, featuring breakout hits like “New Freezer” with Kendrick Lamar and the viral smash “Plug Walk.”

He kept the momentum going with The World Is Yours 2 (2019) and Boss Man (2020), and in 2024 released Life’s a Gamble, executive produced by Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign. That same year, his track “Carnival” featuring Playboi Carti hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Beyond the mic, Rich the Kid founded his own label, Rich Forever Music, launching artists like Famous Dex and Jay Critch. Still evolving, he’s currently collaborating with Argentine producer Bizarrap, proving he’s not just surviving in the rap game—he’s thriving.
