Ralphie Choo

Ralphie Choo, born Juan Casado Fisac on December 18, 1998, in Madrid, Spain, is a singer, songwriter, and producer known for his genre-blending sound. Growing up in Daimiel, Castilla-La Mancha, he was introduced to music by his mother, who exposed him to classical compositions and flamenco greats like Paco de Lucía and Camarón de la Isla. These early influences would later shape his signature fusion of flamenco, bossa nova, hip-hop, and IDM.

His stage name, inspired by Ralph Wiggum from The Simpsons, reflects his playful yet unconventional approach to music. Ralphie’s journey began in 2019 after an anterior cruciate ligament injury sidelined him from football. During his two-month recovery, he started producing music as a hobby, but it quickly evolved into a passion. By 2021, he had begun incorporating his own vocals into his compositions, marking a turning point in his artistic evolution.

In 2022, Ralphie gained attention with his breakout single, Bulerías de un Caballo Malo, an innovative blend of flamenco and electronic music that drew comparisons to Rosalía’s El Mal Querer. This success led to a deal with Warner Music and the release of his debut album, SUPERNOVA, in September 2023. The album, a rich mix of R&B, reggaeton, and hip-hop infused with flamenco, received widespread acclaim.

Beyond his solo work, Ralphie is a founding member of Rusia-IDK, an artistic collective shaping Madrid’s avant-pop scene. Collaborating with artists like Rusowsky and TRISTÁN!, he continues to push the boundaries of contemporary Spanish music.
