Rafael Lechowski

Rafael Lechowski, born February 13, 1985, in Wrocław, Poland, is a Spanish-Polish rapper, poet, and writer known for merging deep lyrical introspection with poetic finesse. His journey into art began after a life-altering tragedy—the death of his father in a car accident when Lechowski was just 11. That pain became the fuel for his creative voice, and by his teenage years, he had already begun channeling emotion into powerful verses.

He first caught the public’s attention with the hip-hop group Flowklorikos, releasing the standout album Zerdos y diamantes in 2002. But it was Donde duele, inspira in 2007 that truly established Lechowski as a genre-bending force. The project, a rich blend of rap and jazz, later reimagined with the jazz ensemble Glaç, showcased not just his musical range but his drive to innovate beyond the traditional bounds of hip-hop.

Lechowski’s talent extends far beyond music. In 2014, he published Larga brevedad, a thoughtful mix of poetry and aphorisms, paired with a CD of spoken word—an early glimpse into his commitment to the literary arts. This fusion of form reached new heights in Quarcissus: El arte de desamar, an ambitious, multi-act poetic narrative released over several years, blending rap with theatrical storytelling.

In 2020, he dropped El Canto de Amor a la Vida, a heartfelt tribute to life’s quiet beauty. His most recent book, El artesano de la calle Oviedo (2022), reflects his evolving vision: a poetic lens on humanity, crafted with soul and sincerity.
