His early exposure to music came from his uncle, Shri Ajit Singh, who taught him the art of singing. Pawan Singh’s initial foray into the world of music involved playing the harmonium at local concerts, where his exceptional talent began to shine.

Singh’s career in music began in earnest with the release of his debut album, Odhaniya Wali, in 1997. His ability to captivate audiences with his powerful voice and energetic performances quickly established him as a key figure in Bhojpuri pop music. Over the years, he released several successful albums, including Kaanch Kasailli in 2005 and Lollypop Lagelu in 2008, the latter of which became a massive hit and is considered one of his signature songs. However, Singh later decided to contest from the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency as an independent candidate. Despite his efforts, he was defeated by Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha in the elections.
