Federico Olivieri, better known by his stage name Olly, is a rising Italian singer, songwriter, and rapper born on May 5, 2001, in Genoa, Italy. His musical journey began in 2016 with the collective Madmut Branco, where he released his first project, Piacere Mixtape. The following year, he collaborated with rapper Matsby on the EP Namaste, which featured the popular single “Chiara Ferragni” alongside Italian singer Alfa.

In 2019, Olly made a name for himself with tracks like “Bevi” and “Best Seller,” collaborating with Alfa again, and the energetic “Black Room Posse” with producers Eames and FJLO. His solo career took off when his hit single “Il primo amore” reached over 100,000 views on YouTube within just a week. By 2020, he had released his EP Io Sono, which included tracks like “Mai e poi mai” and “Winston Blue.” In 2021, Olly gained further recognition with his cover of Arisa’s “La notte”, which led to a collaboration with her on the remix of the same song. That same year, he signed with Aleph Records, distributed by Epic Records under Sony Music, and was named MTV New Generation’s “Artist of the Month” in July.

Olly’s breakthrough came in 2022 when he reached the finals of Sanremo Giovani with his song “L’anima balla”. In 2023, he returned to the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival with “Polvere”, and by 2025, he won the festival with “Balorda nostalgia”, earning the chance to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Born to a lawyer and a magistrate, Olly is deeply connected to his Genoa roots, often drawing inspiration from his hometown. Before diving into music, Olly had a disciplined approach to life, having captained a rugby team for 12 years.
