Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, born on March 15, 1989, in Bariga, Lagos State, Nigeria, is a celebrated rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive. Known professionally as Olamide and affectionately called Baddo, he has been a transformative force in popularizing Nigerian street pop and Afrobeat music worldwide.

Olamide’s music career began in 2010 with the release of his debut single, Eni Duro, which quickly gained traction for its authentic lyrics and infectious energy. His first studio album, Rapsodi (2011), was released under Coded Tunes, setting the stage for his future success. In 2012, he took a bold step by founding his own label, YBNL Nation, and released the album YBNL, which included hit tracks like First of All and Voice of the Street. This album marked the beginning of his signature style that blends Afrobeat, street culture, and hip-hop.

Over the years, Olamide has continued to evolve musically, releasing albums like Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (2013), Street OT (2014), and Carpe Diem (2020), with each project expanding his range.
