Nemiah Emmanuel Simms, better known by his stage name Nemzzz, is a rising British rapper born on March 28, 2004, in Manchester, England. Hailing from the Gorton area, he grew up in a musical family—his mother and uncle were beatmakers, while his father was a reggae and bashment singer of Jamaican descent. This diverse musical environment influenced Nemzzz’s early interest in rap, which he began pursuing in 2018 by rapping over YouTube instrumentals.

Nemzzz’s breakthrough came in 2021 with the release of his viral track “Elevate,” accompanied by a music video featured on GRM Daily. This marked the beginning of his rapid rise in the UK rap scene. He followed up with the track “2MS” in early 2022, further establishing his distinctive style. Collaborations with artists like Stay Flee Get Lizzy and Knucks led to the release of “No Refunds” in November 2022, solidifying his reputation as an artist to watch. In May 2023, he dropped the EP Nemzzz Type Beat, showcasing his unique sound that blends drill and trap elements.

In October 2023, Nemzzz released “Money and Vibes,” the lead single from his debut mixtape, Do Not Disturb, which dropped in March 2024. Featuring collaborations with Luciano and JayG, the mixtape debuted at number 17 on the UK Albums Chart and claimed the top spot on the UK R&B Albums Chart. The deluxe edition followed with features from K-Trap, Headie One, and Lil Yachty.

Nemzzz’s laid-back flow and experimental production have made him a standout in the UK rap scene, blending authentic storytelling with a fresh, innovative sound.
