Neetesh Jung Kunwar

Neetesh Jung Kunwar, born on May 26, 1994, in Lalitpur, Nepal, is a singer-songwriter known for his relatable lyrics and distinctive blend of traditional and contemporary music. Growing up in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, he was surrounded by music from an early age, thanks to his father, who was a member of the band Prism. His exposure to jam sessions and musical gatherings shaped his passion and set him on a path toward becoming an artist.

Despite his deep love for music, Neetesh initially pursued a more conventional career path. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Insurance from Apex College in Kathmandu and even worked in the corporate sector for 18 months. However, his creative instincts pushed him in a different direction, and in 2015, he started sharing original compositions on YouTube. His simple yet heartfelt approach to songwriting quickly resonated with listeners.

His breakthrough came with the viral song Gedai Jasto Jindagi, which struck a chord with Nepali youth and catapulted him to fame. Hits like Aashma, Hamro Nepalma, and Flirty Maya followed, cementing his place in Nepal’s music scene. His songs often reflect themes of love, life struggles, and social commentary, making them deeply relatable.

Beyond his music, Neetesh is an engaging performer and a beloved social media personality, using platforms to connect with fans and share his creative journey. His transition from a corporate job to a full-time musician highlights his determination and passion for storytelling through music.
