MESITA

Mesita, the musical project of James Cooley, is an indie rock artist originally from Littleton, Colorado, now based in Brooklyn, New York. Since 2008, Cooley has been independently creating, performing, and producing music under the name Mesita. His body of work includes a wide range of albums and EPs that display his evolution as an artist, marked by a blend of introspective lyrics and innovative compositions.

Mesita’s musical journey began with his debut album Cherry Blossoms in 2008, followed by Here’s To Nowhere in 2011 and The Coyote in 2012. Interestingly, there is also a hip-hop and trap artist named Mesita from Montevideo, Uruguay, who is gaining recognition for his fusion of classic hip-hop and contemporary trap sounds. Both artists, though sharing the same name, offer unique contributions to the music scene.
