Mecna, born Corrado Grilli on March 26, 1987, in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, is a highly regarded rapper, singer-songwriter, and graphic designer. Hailing from the Apulia region, Mecna has played a pivotal role in shaping Italy’s hip-hop and alternative music scenes. Known for his deep, introspective lyrics and versatile sound, he has become one of Italy’s leading musical voices.

Mecna’s career began in the early 2000s when he co-founded the hip-hop group Microphones Killarz, alongside Lustro and Totò Nasty. Their albums, “No Problem” (2005) and “No Sense” (2007), captured national attention. Following the group’s disbandment, Mecna transitioned to a solo career, releasing his debut album “Propaganda” in 2006.
