Victor Hugo Oliveira do Nascimento, better known as MC Cabelinho, is a Brazilian artist born on January 28, 1996, in Rio de Janeiro. Hailing from the Pavão-Pavãozinho-Cantagalo favela in Copacabana, Cabelinho’s early music career began in 2016 with his singles “16 Tá AÔ and “Voz do Coração.” His debut album, Minha Raiz, was released in 2018, featuring collaborations with artists like MC Orelha and DJ Mibi, solidifying his place in Brazil’s vibrant music scene.
In 2019, Cabelinho expanded his artistic reach into acting, portraying the character Farula in the popular TV Globo telenovela Amor de Mãe. During this time, he also worked with Anitta on the hit single “Até o Céu.” His musical evolution continued with the release of his second album, Ainda, in 2020, which included 13 original tracks. The following year, his album Little Hair featured 17 tracks with guest appearances from prominent artists such as Orochi and Dallass. Additionally, in 2021, he released the EP Coro com Coça, featuring collaborations with Kevin O Chris and MC Dricka.
His 2022 album Little Love was a major success, with 11 out of 13 tracks charting in Spotify Brazil’s Top 50. In 2023, he portrayed Hugo de Oliveira in the telenovela Vai na Fé and toured Europe, performing in Lisbon and London. That same year, he released a deluxe version of Little Love and in 2024, he dropped his latest project, Não Sou Santo Mas Não Sou Bandido.
Outside of music, MC Cabelinho is passionate about jiu-jitsu and has organized events for athletes in Rio’s communities. He is also a follower of Candomblé, a Brazilian Afro-religion.
