Marcus & Martinus

Marcus & Martinus are a Norwegian dance-pop duo made up of identical twin brothers Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen. Born on February 21, 2002, in the town of Elverum, Norway, they first came into the spotlight in 2012 when they won Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix Junior with their catchy song “To dråper vann” (“Two Drops of Water”).

Since then, the twins have grown into one of Scandinavia’s most popular pop acts. They’ve released four studio albums so far: Hei (2015), Together (2016), Moments (2017), and their latest, Unforgettable (2024). Known for their infectious melodies and lyrics that connect with young audiences, Marcus & Martinus have earned several awards, including the prestigious Spellemannprisen — Norway’s equivalent of the Grammy — in 2017.

Their talents extend beyond just singing and songwriting. In 2022, they wowed fans by winning the Swedish version of The Masked Singer, proving their versatility as performers. They also took part in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen (the national selection for Eurovision) in 2023 and 2024. Their big moment came in 2024 when they won with the song “Unforgettable” and went on to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, finishing impressively in ninth place.

Following their Eurovision success, Marcus & Martinus released their fourth album, Unforgettable, which features collaborations with artists like Medun and bbno$, alongside covers of classics like Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game.” With a European tour planned for 2026, the duo continues to captivate audiences worldwide with their energetic performances and ever-evolving sound.
