Major RD, born Rodrigo Freitas Fernandes Morais on December 15, 1996, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is an influential rapper and composer known for blending electronic beats with traditional hip-hop sounds. Growing up in the vibrant Campo Grande neighborhood of Rio, Major RD drew inspiration from his surroundings and personal experiences, shaping his unique musical style. His stage name was inspired by a character from the film Green Street Hooligans.

His musical journey began in 2015, when he started participating in rap battles while working as a butcher’s assistant. This period ignited his passion for music, and with encouragement from fellow rapper Xamã, he decided to leave his job and pursue music full-time. In 2021, he co-founded the collective Brutang44 and later launched his own record label, Rock Danger, alongside Ycaro Torres and DJ Natan.
