About Maher Jah
Maher Jah, born Maher Fawaz Jahjah on September 7, 1990, in Hasbaya, Lebanon, is a rising star in the Lebanese and Arab music scene. Blending pop with traditional Arab folk influences, he first made his mark at the age of 19 as the silver medalist in the ‘Classical Song’ category on the renowned Lebanese talent show Studio El Fan. Despite gaining early attention for his vocal talent, Maher continued to prioritize his education, earning a degree in architecture and topography from the Omar al-Mukhtar Institute in 2013.
That same year, he moved to the United Arab Emirates, where he began to shape his music career professionally. After returning to Lebanon in 2017, Maher signed with Taiga artist management and released a string of popular hits, including “Shefta Nayme,” “Wtʿazabet,” and “Akher Hami.” His breakthrough single “Bala Asl” in 2021 expanded his reach beyond Lebanon, paving the way for chart-toppers like “Alam Al Homra” and “Ghayrak Chab,” the latter climbing into the Top 5 on The Official Lebanese Top 20 in early 2023.
Known for his high-energy performances, catchy melodies, and rhythmic, percussion-driven style, Maher Jah has become a favorite in clubs and events across the Arab world. Beyond music, he is committed to social causes, having volunteered with the Lebanese Red Cross. Offstage, he leads a grounded personal life and is married to Aya Al-Hassanieh, with whom he shares a child. His growing influence continues to shape the sound of contemporary Arab pop.
